I left the Catholic Church a few years ago for many of the reasons you state. I felt like I was in a fog since then. Until my husband passed away and I chose to not have a Mass for him, but, rather, a celebration of his life in a beautiful outdoor setting with an amazing pastor presiding! So, that door closed. Now I am in search of a different door that opens to everyone. Wish me luck!
